Will Rothelle's Biographical Sketch
I began working for Gary Weeks and Co. in 2003. I had grown up with my co-workers Aaron Jones and Austin Weeks in Wimberley and our families have been friends and neighbors for the majority of my life. Gary hired me to help with the hand sanding during the busy holiday season and I was very happy when I was asked to stay on after the new year. I had never seen a wood shop as clean and as functional as this one. After all this time that is still a claim that I can honestly make.
Since I've been working here I have married and my wife Candace and I have built a house just outside of Wimberley in Driftwood Texas. We have a son named Asa and a daughter named Ave, and now we have begun the process of enlarging our house which was quickly becoming smaller. So far I have helped to build over 2000 chairs and worked on countless other furniture projects. My day to day duties can range from research and development of new products to laminating rocker blanks and shoveling out the chicken house. It really is the most rewarding job I have ever had and I feel truly blessed to be able to enjoy my work and create something that is enjoyed by others.
