The Wiley Chair

We built a table and chairs for a family with young children.  John, the husband and father, placed the order and came to pick it up with his two boys.  They were taking the set home to surprise wife and mother on her birthday.

John reminded me that furniture can have meaning beyond its obvious use.  He wanted his boys to see that we made this table and these chairs with our hands, for them.  He wanted his family to grow up with this furniture so that it became valuable for its history and cherished as center of home where friends and family gather to be sustained, entertained, and united.

We deliver our furniture directly to those who use it — no matter how far away.  There are no stores or galleries where it can be seen.  But if you are interested in our dining furniture, we will send a chair at our expense so that you can verify its comfort and our workmanship.  After your test we will have the chair picked up and returned — again at no expense to you.  See the Dining Chair Test page for details.
