My wife is a professor of Industrial Design, and I find it hard to please her keen eye and taste. The chairs were a win though, and they are comfortable as promised. We are happy customers. Thank you.

We received the delivery without any issues. Thank you for the wonderful rocker. The first thing we noticed was just how soft the wood felt it is buttery to the touch! The size of the chair is perfect (it fit through our narrow hallways and doorways without an issue), and it looks amazing in our nursery. The rocker is a perfect addition to our home, and our baby is already starting to enjoy its soothing. The rocker is exactly what we wanted, and we look forward to enjoying it for years to come.
Thank you again for your quick responses, professional service, and amazing craftsmanship. I've already passed your name along to a friend looking for a rocker. And, rest assured that I will come calling again if (when) we need another!

I just wanted you to know that my family, friends and I have derived great pleasure and satisfaction from the beauty and fine craftsmanship of the table and chairs that you made for us. Dealing with you was an enjoyable and memorable experience. I proudly refer people who ask about your work to my friend in Texas who made them for me.

I've had your beautiful furniture for nearly two months now, and it just keeps getting better!
My friends A. and J., Air Force friends for 40 years, who live up front in the Big House, come by most mornings for coffee and a peaceful rock and
some entertainment from the birds and squirrels just outside our screened deck. It is glorious!
I dwelled long and hard on this purchase, and checked out a bunch of
rocker-makers. None of them were really within my budget, but I couldn't be happier with my little extravagance. I've already forgot about the expense. I'm particularly happy that I wound up choosing your firm. Though your chairs are a little less "swoopy than many of the Maloof Replicas, I usually follow my Mom's dictum, "Simple and Elegant". Your furniture is indeed that, in spades.
Your short video online helped me make up my mind. It is very informative and I could readily see how much thought you have given to development of
the rockers. Your easy style, and manner is very charming.
A word on comfort: I try to spend a little time about sunrise out on the deck reading. I always am amazed that I never get figgidy or uncomfortable in any way, though sitting on a piece of hard wood! The sculpture of the seat is perfect for my old frame. If I were to change anything, it would be to lower the arms, perhaps an inch, but that's really nit-picking, and may say more about my proportions. Last evening Jim, who had been outside rocking for awhile, said, "Do you ever fall asleep in that chair?" I think one of your beauties will be on the Christmas List for my friends!
I haven't had the time to enjoy the comfort and rocking serenity that I'd like lately. I've been re-building the old bridge you see in the attached photo. It's a pretty big job for this old novice, but I'm enjoying the process. The bridge is front and center in my otherwise lovely view from my rocker, and it will soon be seriously enhanced.
Thank you again for the personal time and communication during my evaluation process and waiting time. It is most appreciated, and rather uncommon these days.

The pleasure was ours! You are such an amazing customer advocate, a trait sorely lacking in most businesses today where the push to make profits is paramount. In addition, you build a quality product that really shows the details of your craftsmanship, and the end result is so comfortable!! I am a very happy client! So, thank YOU!!!

What a lovely experience. First, the discovery of your website nearly 10
years ago. Obviously your company is more that just a "business". Your philosophy, creativity, and integrity certainly caught my attention. Seeing
your rocker was love at first sight. Since that time I have visited your site often and yearned to own one of your rocking chairs.
Well, special events call for treasured gifts. For my 50th birthday my husband surprised me with my dream rocker. I was thrilled! In this day oandage, where it seems like time passes too quickly, emphasis is placed on technology, quality is sacrificed for mass production and revenue, and the individual gets lost in the crowd it is so refreshing to know that Gary Weeks and Company exists!! You take every day items and make them extraordinary to enhance our lives and bring us joy. Rocking is therapeutic, grounding, nostalgic, and nurturing the world would be a better place if everyone owned a Gary Weeks Rocking Chair.
The principles of simplicity and honesty are evident in your designs. I
appreciate the time and care you and your craftsmen/ women (and children the precious butterfly drawing on the crate) put into creating each detail. Just sitting in my rocker makes me feel connected to all the wonderful people who put their energy into it. I am deeply touched and grateful to own such a functional work of art. You ARE truthful "most beautiful, most comfortable", indeed YES! I respect your family and workers for what you do and how you do it. Thank you for making a positive difference in our lives.

Your timing is excellent.
They contacted me Monday and delivered yesterday around 5 PM. The dispatch person was very courteous and professional. They gave me a small delivery window, 47 PM, and they arrived when they said.
The chairs are in perfect shape.
They are now around our dining room table. They look very nice.
We are very pleased. Thank you for the chairs. And thank you for the trouble-free experience buying them.
All the best to you and your team.

We received the table and chairs this morning and they are awesome. The wood looks a lot better than I thought it would. The attention to detail you and your guys did is amazing. I really appreciate what you have done for me. You were a real pleasure to work with.
The whole process to get to the finish project was something I will never forget and you were a big part of it. Most people will look at the table and chairs and think it is some real fine furniture. My daughter will look at it and know how much she means to me, and I will look at it and think of it as an amazing adventure.
Thanks for everything.

The chair and stool were just delivered. My wife is very pleased and they look great in our nursery. Both the stool and chair are beautiful; you are a true craftsman. The wood stock is gorgeous and the finish immaculate. Thank you, Leslie and the rest of your team for your hard work and excellent customer service.
Time permitting, I will give you more thoughts after spending more time
Until then, take care.

The chair is finally here arriving only minutes before my wife got home from work! She is very surprised, and we are both very happy with the chair. It's the perfect combination of comfort and beauty. We're looking forward to spending a lot of wide-awake nights, rocking our (pending in June) baby to sleep!
Thanks for your careful attention and help through the ordering and shipping process.
Happy holidays to your and your family!

Dear Weeks Family,
A year into owning one of your rocking chairs, we could not be more delighted. It is, far and away, our most prized piece of furniture. The wood has darkened to a beautiful reddish brown, just as you said it would. The inlaid initials are beautiful. Somehow, miraculously, it seems to be the perfect fit for every body that sits in it. And now you've so generously helped us line up a mover to ship it safely across country in our upcoming move. Your customer service and craftsmanship are outstanding.
Thanks so much,

Thank you for the repair kit for the rocker.
There was a lot more damage under the rockers than I thought. However, I did not try and eliminate all the marks. I figured they did not show and I was hesitant to do too much sanding because I thought it would make the chair unbalanced.
The end of the arm rest looks good as does the front of the rocker rail.
Thank you again for everything, including the support.

We received the (very well packed!) delivery yesterday, and spent the rest of the evening confirming its great comfort. I knew the chair was going to be lovely, but it really took my breath away when we unpacked it. I'd like to thank you for the wonderful craftsmanship and attention to detail, and the excellent customer service.
Please pass our thanks along to your entire team for their amazing work.

Good Morning Gary,
. . . We postponed dinner until the boxes were unwrapped (Superb packing job!). After dinner, we just rocked the night away! Thanks so much for your personable and professional guidance through every aspect of this purchase! We also want you to know that one unforeseen advantage of buying Weeks Rockers and Harris Stools for both of us is that as we are rocking we can look over each other's chair + stool and still enjoy the visual experience of Weeks Furnituremakers craftsmanship!
Well, I could go on & on with kudos for your design capabilities,
wood selection and attention to detail! Yet I have to step away from this terminal now and head to town.
Sorry not to have written last night . . . We were unable to extricate ourselves from our wonderful new chairs . . .
August 5, 2009
The rocker, stool and table arrived on Tuesday and we are absolutely delighted with them. M. has always wanted a rocker and never dreamt she would have such a fine rocker as the one you and your team crafted for her.
The whole process, from start to finish, has been a joy and our beautiful furniture will be treasured by the S. family for generations to come. I cant thank you and your team enough.
As of now the rocker is sat in the living room overlooking the marina and looks unlikely to make it to the nursery dont be surprised if you receive another order before very long!
My sincere thanks and very best wishes

Dear Weeks Family,
Thank you for the hard work I am sure you put into my rocker. I especially want to thank Mr. Weeks for coming out during y'alls Fourth of July celebration so that we could pick up our chair. He seemed very concerned about our traveling plans, but I would like him to know his knots were secure the whole way and my husband and I made it home and had the chair inside just seconds before the rain we had been expecting all day hit town. My family was very impressed with the chair and all commented on how blessed I was to have gotten one. Again thank you for all your work.
July 14, 2009
The chairs arrived and we love them. They fit into our small house very well, and we will certainly treasure them for many years to come . . . I hope that we can take a trip to Texas one day, and possibly meet you. We really appreciate your personal service and obvious care in all that you do. Best wishes and thank you again!

We delivered the chair to our Birthday brother, and packaging protected everything. Is a beautiful chair, very comfortable, and something we would love to have for ourselves some day.
Thanks for making this whole process so pleasant and keeping us informed of options, and the progress.

The rocker arrived on time and in perfect condition. It's beautiful and made a terrific birthday gift for my partner. Thanks for the great service you and your crew provided.
We're looking forward to using the chair often when our baby arrives in November.
June 23, 2008
I've been meaning to write to you about the surprise delivery. The note to call before delivery got covered by a routing sticker, so they just showed up. Fortunately, I was home and so have been enjoying my gorgeous and incredibly comfortable new rocker earlier than expected. The shipping process didn't even mark the cardboard, and the chair arrived in perfect condition.
The one downside is that I have significant competition for the seat, from any human who comes near it, but also from my little female cat who insists it's the perfect size and shape for her. She will, at least, let me sit between her and the chair.
I don't live in a mansion here, but rather in a tiny place that's almost all built by hand, with trim, decking and shelving made from site-milled cedar and fir. The wonderful description of your design and construction process on your web site helped me understand that your chair would be a perfect fit in my new mini house. Thank you so much for the marvelous rocker and for the seamless ordering and delivery process.

Thank you so much for the refinishing offer. I don't think the chair would fit in my car or I would take you up on it.
I have to tell you that chair is the most beautiful work of art I have ever purchased. The moment I saw it, I knew it would be coming home with me. You are so incredibly talented. I paid $1,000 for it at Whit Hanks. I remember because it was my Christmas bonus check from work. I knew if I did not buy it, I would regret it.
Thank you so much for the years of enjoyment and the wonderful memories of rocking my baby girls over the years
April 18, 2008
The chair. It looks, feels and IS wonderful. Thank you its quite like owning our very own piece of America; and, you can quote me. The chair is beautifully realized and finished; sitting in it elevates the spirit.
Strangely enough, sitting in it makes one want to get up and DO things. Thats good.
Well done, and thanks for all your care throughout the process.

Dear Aubrey and Gary:
Wow! Notwithstanding my discussion with Gary earlier today about the nasty delivery man, we opened up the box and found our rocking chair we could not be more pleased! It's in perfect condition and absolutely beautiful to the eyes, to the touch . . . and it feels great once we sit down (with our new bundle of joy in our arms). We're both looking forward to using it a lot for many years to come. Thank you both.
Gary: Thanks for being so good to me on the phone this morning. You were very helpful in listening to me about our less than satisfactory delivery experience. Your offer to call M. was also much appreciated. Your company's excellent customer focus is very much a rare thing these days.
For the record, the delivery person called and offered a one-hour window which, as you know, my wife accepted. The delivery person refused delivery of the chair into our home and in fact said it was company policy to deliver such shipments to the garage. Our daughter's crying prevented further negotiation on this matter and M.'s crying obviously did not affect his approach. Even though my wife asked for extra time to inspect the contents of the crate, this apparently was also not possible based, in large part, on the apparent condition of the outside part of the crate (no obvious wear and tear). I'm guessing a tight delivery schedule was another factor in the delivery man's interest in leaving our address as quickly as possible.
In short, not a great time for my wife and she was quite upset about it. I would be grateful if you could share this experience with your shipping contact.
But all in all, this has been an excellent experience in dealing with your company we love the chair, and really do appreciate and admire the passion that is so obvious in how you do business.
Thanks again, and we look forward to future dealings with your company.

She loved it . . . and it arrived in pristine condition! The rocker also arrived unexpectedly early allowing me to surprise her on Christmas morning. We are both very pleased with our new rocker and we tried our best to fit in as much rocking time as possible while we where at my parents house over the Christmas Holiday. My whole family found themselves looking for an opportunity to relax in your beautiful rocker and we soon found it the most inviting place in the house. I really dont think that I could have picked out a better gift that celebrates family and the coming of our first new born child.
Thanks for the wonderful craftsmanship and true customer oriented service!

Although the package was damaged, the chair is okay. Well, actually it is perfect!!! It is exactly what I was looking for, and the new mother is very pleased. I really appreciate all of your help in tracking the chair and I know that we will enjoy this chair for many years to come. I hope that you and your family have a very good Christmas . . .

Yep, just got the call, its scheduled to deliver today. I want to thank you and your family for the great care, craftsmanship and customer support you all show in your work. Have a great Christmas and a very happy New Year!
I know this will be a very special present which will be with our family for a long time.
November 13, 2007
My wife and I love our new rocking chair. I thank Mr. Weeks for sending a rocking chair sooner than December second. My wife said that this rocking chair is now considered a family heirloom, and rightfully so, being that it is very well crafted.
My confidence in your company is based on how informative your website is. Plus your company is confident in your product. I admire that a lot. Plus talking on the phone with Mr. Weeks sealed the deal. I knew I was going to get a great product. I got more than that. I have something that will be passed down for generations to come.
Thank you so much for your product. Have a great Thanksgiving, Christmas and a wonderful new year. I will spread the word of your rocking chairs.
Until then . . .

I have been meaning to write today to let you all know it has been one of those days in the markets.
We received the crate on Thursday and I was able to unpack it only on Friday (got home late Thursday). I had a half day off on Friday since I had to babysit my newborn daughter. So I unpacked it Friday afternoon.
The crate arrived safely, without any damage, and I slid the chair right out just as directed.
What a beauty. It really looks fabulous. The inlay is just what I had in mind I really appreciate the work on it. And the wood and the construction is just solid and really beautiful.
And it was a treat to spend Friday afternoon with the chair unpacked and the ability to sit and rock in it. My daughter loves it just to be held and rocked.
And I'd like Gary to know that my wife who eyed it suspiciously when she first saw it eventually sat in it and rocked and I think has come around to it (though it might take a couple of weeks for the admission to come out). I think she appreciated the fact that Italy appeared in front of Tennessee and Kentucky lest anyone wonder who's in charge here.
But we love it it's a very welcome addition to our home and something that I hope we will have and cherish for many many years.
Thanks again for the wonderful craftsmanship, the beautiful materials and the attention to service. It has been a pleasure to work with you all.
I'll get a picture in the mail, and I hope to hear about Gary's Italy trip when he returns.

Thank you very much for your extremely attentive service.

Thanks for the message. My wife and I have been traveling a great deal so I apologize for the slow response. I was definitely wanting to write you after we had a chance to "sit" with the chair a bit (no pun intended ;-) and give you our thoughts.
In short, we really love it! Your work is as beautifully crafted and detailed as you communicate over the website and our expectations were not disappointed in any regard. My wife and I are different in size and honestly when we first pulled it out of the box, it's size and presence was larger than we expected. I believe we both thought it might be slightly smaller. As a result, I was worried that I would love it, but L. would potentially feel a bit dwarfed. However, I am not quite sure how you have done it, but you have managed to craft a chair that is comfortable for someone of my size 6' and 180lbs-ish and also for my wife of 5'-5" and petite weight . . . well done!
We both feel that it is extremely comfortable and has a very well balanced character of sturdiness with graceful and soft transitions in all the appropriate detail points. We both gain a tremendous amount of joy in just running our hands over the smooth maple arms and it is a real pleasure to "feel" excellent craftsmanship. One of my favorite details at the moment is the expressed connection at the edge of the armrest where it has been mortised all the way thru for the vertical support. However, I keep finding more "favorites" as I enjoy studying the subtleties as we go along.
The maple is beautiful and your level of finish is perfect. We really have no complaints and are thrilled that we now have such a beautiful piece that our children will grow up with and then have one day for their own. We might just be calling you up again for another one so that both our kids may have one to enjoy down the road!
Regarding the delivery, it turned out to be ok, but we were anticipating it on Tuesday the 11th so I am glad that someone was here to accept the delivery (we live in an apartment). Luckily, the chair was delivered with no damage so it did not matter in the end that we were not able to review the delivery condition prior to signing. I appreciate your follow up.
In closing, you are a true master craftsman and we feel blessed to have such a wonderful piece of functional art in our living room to enjoy for many years. Our thanks to you and your family and staff for the quality, professionalism, communication and follow thru. Having done this all remotely, you all have made the experience a very smooth and seamless one.

We are already enjoying our beautiful chair. What an example of form and function. I have never experienced such smooth wood and we are amazed at its velvety touch even on the cross-grain ends. We are so appreciative of your art and craftsmanship in every detail of this family heirloom.
As an occupational therapist (retired), this chair is not only artful, but should be in every physical rehabilitation center, and, at least in every home. The vestibular (sometimes called the "sixth" sense) input from rocking forward and backward stimulates this important neurological system, which serves to balance and regulate output of the body's neuro-muscular centers. Putting it in behavioral terms, last night, I noticed, after
rocking for several minutes a lingering feeling of well-being and relaxation. I felt that I had just arrived back from a brisk walk around the neighborhood or maybe even a massage! Just running your hands over the soft curves of this chair charges another sensory system tactile input. Visual senses are awakened just walking into the living room . . . . . this chair just lures you to sit down!
So far, R. and I have not argued once about who gets to sit in our rocking chair, but we are definitely aware that most likely it will happen one day. We are thrilled, Gary, with your chair and impressed with your professional services surrounding the shipping, delivery, and customer satisfaction. We seldom see this kind of craft and art anymore and are so pleased that we have been a part of it. Thanks to you and to your family for your
dedication and vision. It is poetry.
January 30, 2007
We did indeed receive the rocker last night.
It is indeed a work of art.
My wife was very pleased with it and it fits her great.
We look forward to many good hours in it with the new baby.
Thank you for your prompt email communication and professionalism.

I could tell by the cardboard and wood crate that you made to ship the chair, that I was about to
appreciate what you had put together inside that crate. Maybe it was because the feet on the platform of the crate were made from scraps of walnut! Or
possibly, because these days I'm not used to seeing such a carefully protected package sent via truck freight. While unscrewing the crate, I knew then,
the quality and the care you take in your production.
Thanks for the wonderful rocker, it's everything I expected and more than I deserve . . . but I'm still
gonna enjoy it. And thank you for the attentiveness and friendliness you extended for such a small order.
If you could be so kind as to mail me out a few additional Gary Weeks & Company furniture catalogs, I'd like to pass them along to some local friends. Thanks again, and the previous invitation is always open to you in this part of the northern left coast.
Enjoy your holidays.
December 20, 2006
Thanks, Gary. Yes, we got them and they are gorgeous. They were well packed too.
These chairs are for me and my wife and companion of 34 years. We hope to rock our way through another 34. We won't start rocking until Christmas, though.
BTW, your follow-up is impressive. Like everything else about
your business, it shows quality and care.

Apologies for the delayed feedback I have been away from an email facility for a few days.
The chair arrived in perfect condition and is now hidden in the garage awaiting Christmas Day. Our children know and are very excited as well. Like you I have no doubt that J. will love it !
Thank you once again to your and your team. The service is faultless and so is the product. I hope that you all prosper and continue to enjoy what you do so well.
Should you ever have any inquiries from England, please feel free to pass on my contact details so that I can give you a reference!
Have a happy Christmas and a great New Year !

we love it! it's really a work of art, and as comfortable as we'd hoped for. the older we get this is becoming more important.
the rocker is in our kitchen, and is about the first thing we see in the morning. it's already feeling like an old friend, and it's real easy to look at.
anyway, it was a pleasure doing business with you. thanks for all your follow-up work making sure we knew what to expect regarding shipping.
if we need anything in the way of furniture in the future we will surely keep you in mind.
hope you have a merry christmas.

The chair arrived and it is beautiful!
Our "late in life" baby came early, things actually started happening a few hours after I placed my order with you, and we could not be happier with either delivery. Our older daughters, both teenagers, have requested that the chair be passed onto them . . .
Thank you for your great creation and your wonderful customer service!
October 29, 2006
K. LOVES her rocker. I can't say she has been off her rocker since it got here. This has been the best birthday present I have ever gotten her. OK, she did pick it out and I just ordered it, but WOW, she is happy.
I have to tell you, the picture in the New Yorker doesn't do your work justice. You and your team are truly artists. The chair is beautiful.
By the way, your packaging was ingenious. We especially liked how you only used the foam packaging in the minimum spots you needed since that stuff doesn't recycle well.
Not only did I enjoy talking with you on the phone when I ordered, the whole process start to finish with your wonderful chair up to and including your email below has been great.
Thank you so much. We will gladly be a reference.

As you are aware, I was in for a wonderful surprise upon my return to my home in Winnipeg. The container was in the garage and it immediately tweaked my curiosity. When Stewart told me it was an anniversary gift I decided to open it a bit later. This allowed some time for a guessing game. Needless to say, I could not figure it out.
What a beautiful rocker. It is a work of art. I wanted to put it on a pedestal so everyone would be able to admire the beauty of the wood but the rocker's form invites me to sit and relax.
I most certainly appreciate your talents as a craftsman. Thank you.
The rocker arrived on time without damage of any kind due it's being very well packed and crated by your staff. The chair is gorgeous its flowing lines, the way the figure in the wood has been matched, details like the slight bevel in the arms where a person's forearms would naturally rest, and the way it's been oiled are a wonderful example of craftsmanship is one of the most treasured things in
our home. I also want to express my thanks for the regular and ongoing correspondence during the interval from order to delivery. It's been a pleasure to deal with you.

I recently purchased my second rocking chair from Gary Weeks, having found my first one to be the most comfortable rocker that I have ever sat in. I found them to be extremely courteous and accommodating, and the price of the chair to be very reasonable for a custom rocking chair. My second chair
initially arrived damaged from shipping, and they were understanding and swiftly replaced it. I can't recommend them enough!

Gary the rocker was delivered yesterday without any damage to the packaging or the rocker. The rocker is absolutely beautiful, and my wife and I are just thrilled with it. I want to commend you and your company on your fine craftsmanship. The wood, finish and joints are perfect. More importantly, my wife could not believe how comfortable the rocker is. We are proud owners of your work and look forward to a lifetime's enjoyment of it. Your company has two new loyal customers (soon to be three), and we will certainly recommend your company to our family and friends. One last thing, I want to thank you for your service it was as good as your rocker. Thank you, Gary, it was a pleasure doing business with you.

Just wanted to let you know how much our son and daughter-in-law appreciate your wonderful rocker. It arrived at their home today in perfect condition. The first words from our son were, "the finish is so spectacular that it feels soft" followed immediately by, "this is the most beautiful piece of furniture that I have ever seen".
I'd say that is one happy couple!
Thank-you so much for your craftsmanship and devotion to customer satisfaction. I suspect that we may order a rocker for our own home soon.
Best Wishes and continued success,
PS, in a recent publication identifying the 100 must have's for expectant parents, your Rocker was mentioned. Congratulations!

We are ecstatic about our Weeks Rocker!!! You are a masterful furniture artist it is simple, elegant and extremely comfortable. In fact, I've hardly been anywhere else but sitting in that rocker since it arrived on Tuesday. We will take some photos of how we are enjoying the rocker and promise to share a couple of them with you.
The shipment arrived on time and intact excellent work!
Thanks again for the great customer service.

I can't thank you enough for bringing my "Katrina-soaked" Weeks Rocker back to it's original beauty.
Despite lying in 7 and 1/2 feet of Hurricane Katrina's flood waters for well over a week, I found my Weeks walnut rocker intact. Months after the flood I used soap and water to clean off a layer of dirt and mold from the rocker. I was amazed at how good the finish looked and how well the rocker held together. I appreciate the work you recently did to restore it for me.
Photo taken before repair and refinishing
I lost my home and virtually all of my possessions to Katrina's flood waters,
including a collection of Ethan Allen solid cherry furniture which just broke apart. So I am especially pleased with the quality and craftsmanship you put into your furniture that allowed my rocker to survive Katrina.

Yes, the rocker arrived right on time and in perfect condition. It's very nice and comfortable. My husband was impressed with the workmanship. I had no idea that ordering furniture from Texas was so easy. I wish I had done it sooner!
Thank you for your excellent service, and the lovely chair.

Dear Gary and Leslie,
Thank you so much it has been a true joy working with you. Both your spirits and your craftsmanship have been a blessing!
May 3, 2006
We received the chair yesterday. Thank you again for your excellent customer service.
April 7, 2006
Sorry for the long time in responding. The chair arrived in Jerusalem in fine shape in early March. It is extraordinary. M. uses it for most of her nursing, especially at night. Little baby J. also seems to appreciate the work you all put into making it beautiful. Thanks so much for your help and the professionalism of your business.

The rocking chair did arrive on Tuesday without a problem.
The driver complemented you on how well you packaged the rocking chair.
The rocking chair is magnificent and we are really looking forward to giving it as a shower gift on Saturday.
Our only regret is we have to give it up.
Thank you for wonderful and prompt service. Everything worked out great

The chair was delivered this morning and it's a beauty!
We live in an isolated area and the delivery company was a little concerned about bringing their tractor-trailer into our road. After several phone calls, one of their drivers, who lives in my area and was on his way home
after the night shift, decided to put it on the back of his truck and bring it to me. It was a fitting way for the chair to arrive since it served to underscore the friendliness of the whole enterprise and introduced me to one of my neighbors.
The wood and workmanship of the chair is beautiful; I can't quite believe how sturdy it is. No wonder you give it such a great guarantee.

We received the rocker without incident on Tuesday. Our baby girl arrived a bit early but we have already begun to enjoy the chair with her. My wife was particularly impressed with your attention to detail across all the many aspects of your promotion, salesmanship, execution, delivery, and follow-up.
February 6, 2006
We got the chair. It looks beatiful and feels great, just as we expected! The build quality is superb and your service exceptional.
After a quick two minute "rocking" on the chair, the only thing I could think of to possibly hope for/comment on and this is purely a matter of personal taste and influenced by "butt-memory" of the rocking chair in my childhood home in Finland is perhaps a little bit wider range of rocking when leaning back.
I wonder if you have any comments on this? Perhaps an issue with stability? Having said that, the rocking motion range on your chair is much longer/wider than on any other rocking chair I've tried here in the US.
Again, thanks for the wonderful chair; we look forward to a lifetime of rocking!
[ My response and a reply follow: GW ]
I am glad the delivery worked for you and that you like the chair. I wish you and R. the best, and thank you very much.
When I designed this chair 12 years ago, I found the curve of the rockers and their relationship to the seat and back by trial and error. Many people tested the prototypes, giving their opinions, and I have delivered many chairs since. You are the first to comment that, for you, the rocker could travel farther back in its pendulum swing. I have had several people say that they are glad the chair doesn't go so far back as to give them any
sense that it could go too far there are some rockers out there that do
give one a fright. This is not to say that your memory or experience is invalid . . . I just have to admit that I didn't get it completely right for you and hope that you find the other aspects of the chair pleasing enough to temper this compromise.
May you rock in good health.
The beauty, craftmanship and comfort of the chair far outweigh my small observation! And I am sure it is only a matter of getting use to the range of motion the chair has.
December 29, 2005
BINGO! Mission accomplished! The rocker arrived Tuesday, as advertised.
Both S. and K. have tried it out and love it. Now we're all on "high alert" waiting for a sign from the little guy that he's ready to be born. We're getting mighty close.
I can't tell you what a delight it's been working with you. It has given me great comfort to be able to communicate with you on such a regular basis. Knowing you were always just a phone call away or at the other end of an email made the experience all the more personal. Now I have one more request: please don't retire anytime soon! I want to order one of your beautiful rockers for my other son when it's his turn to become a father. Hang in there!
Thank you for everything.
December 24, 2005
Dear Weeks Family,
It's been a few months since my husband and I were in your studio, but I wanted to let you know how much we are enjoying our rocking chair. We are the couple that dropped in late one afternoon to look at your chairs for our nursery. When we got home with our daughter, whom we adopted from Colombia,
I went straight upstairs to sit and feed her in our beautiful rocker. I continue to use it everyday and whenever someone comes over to see us I just can't wait to show it off!
It was such a pleasure to meet you and your wife that day. I couldn't be happier with our purchase and the service we received from you both. It's heart-warming to know there are still family-owned companies that put so much of themselves into their product it really shows how dedicated you are to your craft. We will cherish the rocker for many years.
Thanks so much!

The rocker arrived pretty much right at the time promised, and unpacking it
was much easier than I expected it to be. We are very pleased with how
comfortable it is. My wife, who had been thinking of it as merely something
for me, immediately found relief for her back in it and was surprised by how much she liked it (she's six months pregnant). Clearly, I will have to yield to her. Oh, and we were really impressed by the stool. You made
something very simple into something really intriguing to look at, and it works very well with the chair.
Thanks again for better service than one gets anywhere, not to mention for furniture that lives up to expectation.
December 19, 2005
The rocker and stool arrived in perfect shape. The chair is even more beautiful and comfortable than I had imagined it would be. I'll be ordering one or two more in the spring.
Thanks for your great service and product. You give me hope that American craftsmanship is alive and well, at least in Wimberly, TX.
Best wishes for a healthy and happy holiday season.

Thank you for following up. As you recommended, I called to confirm delivery. We did receive the rocker late yesterday afternoon (as expected). It arrived in perfect shape and is absolutely beautiful. We couldn't be happier. Your craftsmanship surely lives up to our expectations.
Again, I appreciate your follow-up. We will definitely keep you in mind for additional pieces and referrals. We wish you continued success.

I got my rocker last night and I LOVE it!! Great service!
Thank you very much!
[ Note: Not every delivery is smooth and trouble-free. Most are, but not all. This is the nature of freight. After furniture leaves here, we cannot be certain of its handling, but we will assist in every way we can and we will take ultimate responsibility this is certain. The email exchange below illustrates such a situation. GW ]
October 19, 2005
Thank you for your email. I had called to schedule an appointment for delivery today, and waited all afternoon. Finally, I called the delivery place and they said that the rocking chair was missing. I asked what I could do now. They said they should be able to find it within the next couple of days. I told them I was upset that I wasted the afternoon
awaiting the delivery. They apologized and said that they would deliver it
within a 1 hour window once it is found.
I just thought I should let you know that the delivery service you have used has treated your customer in this way. I am not happy about this situation, but seem to have no other choice. Currently, I have a six week old baby and a visitor from Australia stuck in the house for one day and now we'll have to be here again, when they find the chair.
Otherwise, I have been happy with your service, and would suggest you to others, though maybe not your delivery service.

I was out of town last week. I am chagrined to return and find that your chair has not been delivered and that you were stood up by Overnite. I am very sorry for your inconvenience and for the delay.
Overnite is a large company with terminals throughout the states. When their system works well, as it almost always does, they are amazingly fast and reasonably priced. When it doesn't, they appear to be a clumsy bureaucracy. Again I regret that you have experienced the latter.
Austin, my son, has been calling N. at the San Diego terminal, and I called him today. Apparently, or most likely, the chair was loaded onto the wrong trailer at some point between us and you and will soon be discovered out of place and delivered. I just called the terminal manager in Austin, our local terminal, who verified that, when this occurs, the missing item soon reappears.
I would like to give Overnite a few days to deliver your chair. If they have not delivered a chair to you this week we will finish one of the chairs we are now working on for you.
Sincere apologies, and regards,
October 25, 2005
Thank you for all the customer service that you and your son have provided. You have actually made an unpleasant experience pleasant with your well written emails and phone calls. I'm glad your company took the lead in making sure the rocking chair was located.
This morning I placed a call to the delivery company, and upon hearing my name, they knew immediately who I was. The rocking chair is to be delivered tomorrow between 8 and 10 am as I requested. I look forward to rocking away with my newborn daughter on a quality piece of furniture, as is the quality of your customer service.
September 25, 2005
The rocker has been delivered, and was more than I could have hoped for. It is extremely comfortable as well as beautiful (thus justifying the purchase to my husband). We have both been rocking everyday, with many more to come once the baby is born.
Thank you so much for making the process of ordering so easy and keeping me informed along the way. I will definitely recommend your company to people in the Philadelphia area.
August 11, 2005
Thanks for checking up on your progeny. I cheerfully accept responsibility for care and feeding from now on.
I have rocked a while (in secret) and am happy to report that this chair is a fine example of quality craftsmanship and beautiful material.
My wife will not know its comfort until her birthday on September 2 and the little girl who's on the way; she should be in the chair sometime around the end of November. I'll send along a note once we are all able to enjoy the chair.
This whole exchange has been a pleasure. Thanks to you and everyone who had a hand in making this happen. Please share this note with your people.
August 9, 2005
I gotta tell you, yours is a unique business. I run a company that receives shipments in excess of $300,000/year I have NEVER had a vendor track a shipment like you, even when that shipment was worth over $50,000. I'm always the one trying to chase stuff down. I can only assume this is indicative of the quality of work you do everywhere.
August 11, 2005
R. called the carrier on Tuesday morning. They said they'd give her number to the driver who would call and arrange for delivery.
He didn't call.
It didn't matter, she was home. The chair came in yesterday.
There was very minor damage to the crate, but the chair is fine.
The chair is better than fine, it's beautiful. I took lots of pictures of R. opening the crate, removing the bubble wrap, and sitting in it right there in the garage before we could even get it in the house! It was like a neighborhood event with multiple neighbors stopping by. I took more pictures of her and the chair in the new nursery. I can't wait to take pictures of her rocking our first, little F., due in 4
weeks. If you're dying to see your chair in action, let me know and I'll email you some.
We are very pleased with our purchase. I had no idea the chair would be as solid as it is; the seat, the arms, the legs, everything is nice and thick. We planned for this chair to be in our family for generations, and that will obviously be no problem. We've been working on the nursery for a while, but last night R. called me in, and with tears in her eyes told me that the room now feels like the baby's room.
R's already talking about how she needs the footstool; we'll have to check the budget.
Feel free to use us as a satisfied customer reference. R. said "This is not only the most comfortable rocking chair I have ever sat in, but one of the most comfortable chairs period."
Gary, your work is outstanding and we appreciate it.
June 20, 2005
I was going to write you an email today, but it looks like you beat me to it . . . :)
Yes, I did get the chair yesterday and it is more beautiful than I'd imagined it! It is as much a piece of art as it is a piece of furniture . . . The original design, the quality of the wood, and the impeccable craftsmanship makes it a one of a kind piece!
I would give the overall experience a 10/10 if it wasn't for the delivery . . .
The delivery company would not deliver on Saturdays, and could only give me
4-hour windows in the morning or afternoon. That doesn't work for any
person working full-time, as it effectively requires one to take a full day
off. The Stickely dresser I bought a few months back was delivered on a
Saturday morning, and that worked out perfectly. As the Overnite
Transportation warehouse was just a few miles away from my office, I ended
up driving there during lunch break to pick up the chair myself. The crate
would not fit in my Honda Pilot, so I had to disassemble it on-site . . . Quite
an ordeal. In short, I'd suggest that you look into using a delivery
company that does Saturday deliveries.
Thanks for such a beautiful chair!
San Francisco, California
[ I regret any inconvenience to any patron and work to keep it to the minimum. However, the shipping prices quoted in our catalog and on the
website are for the level of service noted in this email: large appointment
windows on weekdays only. I can see how these specifications are problems for some, but the price cannot be beaten by any other carrier that I have
found. The option of a Saturday delivery will cost at least twice our quoted prices, but I will be happy to arrange it for those who require and desire it.
June 16, 2005
I received the felt strips today and will try them out tomorrow. Thank you
for sending them.
Thank you also for the kind words you enclosed. Buying the chair was a very "old world" experience and will always linger. Having children is important but teaching them the right things is what really counts. The way you do your work sets many examples that seem to be forgotten these days: respect for the environment and love for nature. Building one item that's meant to last is so much healthier, so much more rewarding, environmentally friendly, than making hundreds that will be discarded in a blink of an eye.
Unfortunately people have this need to acquire non-stop, use and toss thousands of things without thinking about the consequences. It's a real treat to see that quality work still exists, not only to provide quality work but, I guess, because you love what you do. That's wonderful. And, of course, your work teaches patience, a virtue that's become rare in our world of instant gratification. I must admit though that I was very grateful that you managed to deliver the chair faster than promised!
You see, your chair will teach our daughter many things when she grows up!
All the best to you,
New York, New York

We just received our gorgeous rocking chair delivered perfectly to Amsterdam this afternoon. My husband and I are really thrilled with it! Thank you so much for creating something so special for us as we expect our first child. It's a beautiful heirloom treasure which I am sure will be passed on to future generations!
(Also, thank you so much for your promptness in correspondence, your precise time table and impeccable packing and delivery.)

The rocker has shown up and is even nicer than I imagined. Really beautiful. I haven't taken it out of the crate yet, as I need to transport to my daughter's apartment first, but it looks fine as is.
My wife is now commenting that she may like your rocker best we have two other wood rockers including one I had made to her size (5' 1-3/4" but she says she is 5' 2"). Everyone knows that your walnut rocker is mine, and I can kick all out except my wife. I may need you to make one more soon, so I can get my rocker back.
Thanks again the rocker is beautiful and you made the whole order/delivery process painless. Great work!
May 3, 2005
Yes, I got the rocker it's in perfect shape. Ray absolutely loves it! Thank you so much for your professional work and personal follow up. It has been a pleasure working with you.
March 30, 2005
Many apologies for the delay in my thank you. The move to my new home was successful and you were great at rerouting the delivery of the cherry rocker and stool. Simply put the rocker and stool are superb! The packaging was beat up a bit as expected but the cherry rocker and stool were not harmed in any way. Going over them entirely by hand with my eyes closed, there were no snags or hang ups to be found and it was as smooth as my new baby's skin. I am 5'6" and my husband is 6' yet it fits us both like gloves. I am very impressed and rock my 6 month old son in it very comfortably.
Thank you again,
March 23, 2005
We received our new Weeks rocking chair and love it. It's not only a work of art, but it's comfortable, beautiful and inviting. Thanks for the terrific service and for this wonderful American-made product!

February 23, 2005
Here it is. A happy mother rocking already with the baby. We are totally happy with the chair. The only bad news was that French customs were much more expensive then expected (533 euros, which is about twice the amount you mentioned initially; this is something you have to know for future transactions!).
[ Ouch! I get an estimate for duties and taxes from my agent and forward that amount to people in another country who are considering a purchase. The customs and duty charges on previous shipments to France have been accurate. Apparently, however, it is impossible for me to get a firm and correct quote for duties and taxes to every country, every time. This experience makes me reluctant to estimate duties and taxes on an international shipment.
Thanks for the efficiency in processing it all so as to make it available on time. And congratulations for the design: being born in Canada at a time when rocking chairs were very popular, I can tell you this one is really, really, well done.
All the best
December 23, 2004
Gary, the chair arrived on time yesterday, and it is lovely. When I sat in
it I didn't want to get out. You can add me to your list of delighted customers.
Thanks for checking up on the delivery. Service as well as the product are excellent.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
November 19, 2004
I apologize for not letting you know that my rocker arrived safe and sound. I was immediately impressed with the quality both your craftsmenship and the wood. Wow! It's a beautiful chair, artwork really. I have the chair next to a cherry wood bookcase, that I loved when I first received it, but it does not stand up to the chair (I am thinking of painting it the bookcase, not the chair!)
It took me awhile to get used to the chair and be sure I was going to love rocking in it. I was surprised by how much I leaned back in it. I'm one of those people who is most comfortable sitting up straight. I rarely lean my seat back on an airplane. I love the look of Windsor chairs, but feel like I am sitting in a lounge chair when in one. I like to read in my rocking chairs and have a little trouble doing that in the rocker. But I did
finally break down the crate last weekend. I do love sitting in it relaxing at night watching tv or chatting with my husband. We'll see how the reading goes. I think paper backs have some potential!
Thank you for the wonderful service and for checking in.
[ I very much appreciate these detailed comments from L.F. Of course I love to hear that the pitch of the chair is pleasing and that reading is effortless. But I want to hear when the ideal is not attained for an
individual. The more information I have to publish about the chair, the more thoroughly one can consider a purchase. G.W. ]
November 17, 2004
Do I like it?
Oh yes! It made me so happy I felt silly and self conscious at the effusive email I began writing to you soon after it arrived. I decided
to wait until I cooled off a bit.
It's everything you said it would be. My husband, seven year old son and I all agree it's incredibly comfortable and beautiful. A true heirloom piece. Wow. We love it! We touch it all the time. My son accuses me of sitting in it too much. I had to agree to take turns.
I am so happy and grateful that you and your people came through. I've dealt with a lot of different dealers and contractors recently. Most have been very disappointing to work with . . . problems with communication, integrity, quality and other issues have clouded the interaction. It's strangely life affirming to deal with you and have
everything happen as promised. Whew! What a relief! THANK YOU!
Oh yeah, the box it came in is a perfect hideout/playhouse for the kid. He's decorated it inside and out and plays in it every day. Thanks for the bonus!
I hope it pleases you to know that you have made this family in San Diego so happy. Please keep your high standards. The world needs more like you!

I AM rocking, and I am SO pleased! Your chair fits my extra-long legs and tilts my body back to a comfortably balanced angle something which was missing in the (considerably more expensive) rocker I tried first. The arms are delightfully sculptured for resting my hands outstretched or for crossing them in toward the body for knitting or reading. Not an uncomfortable edge to be found. The finish is beautiful to eye and hand alike. I am looking forward to showing it off and (occasionally) sharing its comfort. Thank you so much, Gary. And thank you for delivering it exactly as committed, without a hitch.

The walnut rocker arrived today, in perfect condition, although the top of the box got smashed in and the flaps separated, letting some shipping grime in. (It might be worthwhile to use an extra piece of cardboard to help guard against this in future shipments.)
Anyway, on to the chair! As we anticipated, the rocker is well-proportioned and graceful, but we were surprised and impressed at how large and substantial it is! The craftsmanship appears to be top-notch, and the attention to detail is evident, down to the careful matching and placement of pieces for grain and color. I'm also pleased with the deep tones of the walnut.
As I told you, we had not seen the OS Clear Oil before, but the finish on the chair is beautiful. The Hardwax Oil gives off a strong "waxy" smell for quite a while after application, but the rocker has only the faintest odor, so that's a nice surprise.
Of course, the point of the rocker is to use it, which we did immediately. I found it very comfortable, and my 17-month old daughter was quite taken with it, wanting to rock on mommy's lap, and then stand in front of the chair and rock it with me in it. At nap time, we found that it fits a breastfeeding mom & toddler great! My daughter's legs easily fit under the arm of the chair, with her feet supported by the edge of the seat, and the central placement of the back slats allowed her to tuck her arm behind me. Maybe it was just all the excitement of finally receiving our "special chair", but she was asleep in minutes.
So, thank you for making us this beautiful piece of furniture with the special finish, and for the excellent service. In this era of high-hassle, low-quality goods, it's a treat to have my expectations exceeded.
September 2, 2004
Got the chair. My wife could not be happier. Thanks again for the great service.
July 14, 2004
Well the rocker was delivered right on time and my dad loves it, I wish I had been there to see his face. Thank you so much. It's a good feeling to know that there are people out there who say what they mean, and mean what they say. Continued success.

It's really disappointing to have to ask you to take your beautiful hand finished rocking chair back, but my wife's anatomy is just not right for it. We're not really surprised; as a child M. was diagnosed with scoliosis and her spine has quite a pronounced curvature, which doesn't quite fit your chair. I find it wonderful, but unfortunately our living room isn't large enough to accommodate a rocker she can't use. When the chair arrived I called over our friend who is on the faculty at the School of American Craftsman at Rochester Institute of Technology, a studio furniture designer himself. The styling and the workmanship are "studio furniture" quality. That's why I'm so disappointed I won't be able to keep the chair.
I appreciate your taking full responsibility for the cost of returning the chair by freight. The screw-together packaging was easy to reassemble and the chair is ready to ship.

I just had a very exciting morning. The Plycon guys delivered the dining set today, a whole week early! I have to tell you that I am floored with your expert craftsmanship. A huge thank-you to your entire team. I only had a few moments to admire the satin smooth finish and enjoy the heft of the chairs before setting off to work, but dinner tonight will be a treat. I am extremely pleased with the set.
All the pieces were very well protected and everything seemed snugly wrapped. In fact, the delivery guy took quite a few minutes unraveling each piece. I only want to add that the delivery guy did ding one of the arm chairs. After unwrapping the chairs in the truck, he grabbed two chairs and tried to get them into the house all at once. Unfortunately, when he came up the porch steps, one of the chair tops banged into the ceiling overhang of the covered porch. I was rather disappointed with his carelessness, and I just wanted you to be aware of it. I'm not sure if this was an isolated incident with the particular delivery guy, or a mark of company, Plycon. I suggested that he bring in the rest of the pieces one at a time, which he did. Other than that, the delivery went very smoothly.
As for the ding in the chair back, I ran a barely-damp cotton cloth gently over the ding a couple of times, and got the white paint off. Can I use some lemon oil to get the luster back? Or should I hold off, until the chair cures a bit? The ding is very shallow, and about the width of a grain of rice. It isn't particularly noticeable (now that the paint is gone), but I just want to treat it right, and keep it protected.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks for the help,
C.C. (1 happy girl)

I am delighted that you like your furniture and dismayed at the careless delivery. I have a simple repair that you can do to make the chair arm good as new; I just regret that you have to do it.
I am leaving for the day and will send more tomorrow.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I hope dinner last night was a treat. Have the dinner party invitations gone out?
Rereading your note, I see that the ding is on the back of an arm chair, rather than the arm of the arm chair. Anyway, I can mail a repair kit to you with instructions, oil, and sandpaper. You can use a clothes iron and a damp cloth to drive steam into the compressed fibers, swelling them back to the surface. The following day, you can lightly sand with a very fine grit and apply a bit of the hand-rubbed oil finish that we use. You will need to lightly sand and re-coat on a subsequent day to get the sheen back. I am upset to put this on your plate, but it is not difficult or very time-consuming. The other options are:
1. Do nothing and consider that the first ding in the Charlene era of this long lasting furniture came too early.
2. Say to me: "Gary, you promised that the furniture would be delivered as new; I am hesitant to make this repair. Will you do it for me?" I will have it brought to me; I will repair it, and return it.
I hope you remain a "happy girl." I will do my part to keep it so.
Sincere thanks and regards,
December 30, 2003
hi gary. we received a cherry rocker about 10 days ago and absolutely love it. the armrests are just very slightly rough and i was wondering what to use to smooth it up a bit without marring the surface? pumice powder ? 600 grit paper?
happy new year!
I am most pleased that you like the rocker and most disturbed about the surface of the arms disturbed and perplexed. I will send you some sandpaper and some of the oil we use as a finish. Smoothing the surface will be a very simple process, but I regret that you are doing it and not me.
Would you please answer these questions to help me determine the cause and to insure that I send you the right materials for a touch up?
1. Are the arms rough generally or rough in places here and there?
2. When you scrutinize the arms in good light, do you see the spots that you feel?
3. Are there other places on the chair that feel, and look, like the areas that are in question?
4. Did you notice this problem when you first sat? (This question does not imply that you caused the problem. I am the final inspector and likely I failed you.)
Thank you for your order, your understanding, and your wish for a
Happy New Year,

thanks for getting back to us so promptly. please do not be distressed by this it is pretty subtle and is somewhat spotty. yes under good light i can see a difference the areas look just a tad lighter. these are the only places on the rocker that we have noticed this and it is on both armrests. my wife noticed it when she first sat down. i was not there when it was unpacked but i can't imagine how that would have influenced these areas. i can't tell you enough how much we love this and appreciate your concern.

Thanks to your efforts, I took delivery of your gorgeous chair today at 11:30. My wife was thrilled. I will send a picture of her enjoying it with baby E. when I can.
Thank you once again. I found dealing with you to be refreshing. Your service was polite, timely and accommodating. I only look forward to discovering for myself how comfortable the chair is.

My name is K. (A.M.s wife) I live in Vancouver, Canada. I am a new mum and my husband surprised me with the gift of a Weeks Rocking Chair on July 4th. He said you took great pains to make sure we got the chair as soon as possible. I wanted to let you know that it is the most comfy chair that I have ever sat in. Our baby E. loves to be rocked in it it seems to sooth her as soon as I begin rocking. I just wanted to say thank you for designing such a beautiful and comfortable piece of furniture.

We have received our much anticipated rocker and are very pleased. Though the cardboard of the crate had a large tear in one corner, the rocker arrived in perfect condition. It has also come before our son, whose due date was yesterday. Thank you, again, for making us a priority with the rather short notice we gave you. C. is delighted to have her rocker in place in the small room we have for the nursery and is ready for this baby to be born.
I pray that God continues to bless you and your family, and everyone who works at Gary Weeks Furniture. Your craftsmanship testifies to the depth of your devotion to your work.

I wanted to let you know that the rocking chair arrived on Monday. Everything was in perfect order. As you may recall the rocking chair was for my wife and our newborn son. I think you will be happy to hear it was warmly received. It was everything she wanted and more.
When I brought the chair home I had her go to the bedroom while I brought it into the living room. I then led her out, eyes closed of course. I wish you could have seen her face when she sat down.
Many thanks for the fine work you do. Special thanks for going the extra mile to keep me up to date on the shipping status. It is not often these days that you can spend money as a consumer and have zero regrets about your purchase.

P.S. I hope you find the following useful in marketing your wonderful product.
When I decided that I wanted to purchase a traditional rocking chair I had no idea of what I was in for. First I went down to the two furniture stores in town and was very disappointed in what I saw. Both stores had one model for sale, and nether were worth buying.
My buying habits are such that I make sure I will be pleased with what I buy before I part with my money. So I started looking on the internet. Not really knowing what I was looking for I found some nice rocking chairs at a site called "100% rocking chairs". In fact I almost bought one. However I had a nagging doubt and held back.
After several evenings on the internet I finally found your web site via Google. I instantly fell in love with what I saw. However when I started this little adventure I had only planed on spending perhaps $500, tops. After two weeks of thinking it over I decided that your chair was worth the cost. In addition I believe the your rocking chair is of such superior quality that it will literally last us a lifetime. In the long run it is a bargain compared to numerous lazy boys or cheap glider rockers that it would take to fill its place over as many years. I also believe that properly cared for our rocking chair will increase in value.
I hope you find this information useful. I mention it simply to illustrate the influence your product had over me, a frugal consumer looking for a well made rocking chair.
If you ever visit Ketchikan give me a call before you come I will be happy to show you the sites or take you fishing.
[Somehow, I've got to go. GW]
Thanks again, and Merry Christmas!

I want to thank you so much for your efforts on Tuesday. It was very nice of you to do what you did with the calls. Please thank those people who allowed me their chair.
It made the perfect gift for my brother. He absolutely loved it! I appreciate all you've done.
Please take care,

Dear Mr. Weeks,
I wanted to write to you in order to thank you for sending us a check for the carpet cleaning that had to be done after delivery of our rocking chair. While, I believe it was the shipping company's fault for the damage, it is very refreshing to be able to do business with someone who is willing to take responsibility for mistakes that were make.
We absolutely love our rocking chair and we know that we will love it even more in the years to come. We look forward to doing business with you in the future and we will not hesitate to do so.
Thank you again for everything.
