Gary,
The rocker arrived on time and in perfect shape. I am rockin' as I write!
We did a lot of research before we decided on "the rocker" that would work. We were looking for something functional and attractive. We spend a lot of time on the Oregon coast in the summers. Over the last 10 years, I have ogled the Myrtle wood rockers that various woodworkers have created on the coast. About a month before we decided on the Weeks rocker, my wife and I made a trip to the Oregon coast with the express purpose of buying a Myrtle wood rocker. We stopped at several shops and I "rocked" several chairs. The chairs varied in price from $2500$5000 but, they all had one thing in
common. They ALL had floating back staves and they all felt strange to rock, as with each rock the staves would flex. It felt weird, almost like the staves were going to break. A rocker should provide comfort while rocking, not anxiety.
I have sciatic problems and the Weeks rocker provides support and comfort to my back. I am also able to spend hours in front of the TV or reading in comfort while rockin'.
I worked for 7 years at a firm that made wood working machinery and I feel that I can recognize quality wood working. The Weeks rocker is an excellent example of superior American Craftsmanship.
I am proud to own a Weeks Rocker.

Gary,
I recieved my rocker and I love it!!! I have to sit on a firm chair because of my back, and have been sitting on a kitchen chair for a while.
I can't tell you how many chairs I have tried that weren't supportive enough.
It is so wonderful to have a chair that is so comfortable and supportive that I can sit and relax in! It is a beautiful piece of furniture, a work of art.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! M. Longmont, Colorado

How delightful of you to respond!
You may not remember, but I sent you an email months ago before ordering the rocker to ask if you could make the seat higher because of my bum knees. (You said you really couldn't.) Obviously, we ordered it anyhow. But I just wanted to tell you that the arms on the rocker are the perfect height to assist me and I've been able to get out of it with no problem!
And I'm having knee replacement surgery in January, so expect at least some of my recuperation may involve rocking!!

Gary,
Thanks so much for checking in. It did, indeed, arrive today, in perfect condition, while we are still waiting for Miss J. You have been tremendously helpful in working around my due date.
The rocker has the elegant lines and beautiful grain/smoothness I expected. I am delighted with how comfortable it is as well. Like many others in the review section, I fell asleep yesterday afternoon while testing it out.
Sleep, of late, has not been easy to come by, so this was pretty amazing. My significant other has been amused by how excited I've been about the
arrival of this chair. This made it all the more gratifying when, after I made him sit down to try it, he didn't budge for almost an hour. He has a bad back, and really enjoyed the fit of the rocker. You have a new convert. He was also extremely impressed with the workmanship and agrees that this is the loveliest piece of furniture we own.
Have a great rest of the summer and I'm sure we'll be back for a matching
rocker before too long, perhaps if/when number two is coming along.

Hi Gary,
Thank you for donating $1,500 towards the purchase of 2 rocking chairs for our new Longmont Wellness Education Center!
We love them and so do our clients. We positioned them by the fireplace and every time that I am in the facility, the chairs are NEVER vacant!
I also think they fit perfectly with helping our clients to self-sooth and be more at ease while waiting for their medications and treatment.
I have attached a photo here for you! (This was on move in day and since then both rockers are placed facing the fireplace.)

In the future, we plan on building a new facility offering our new treatment for mental illness in Boulder, CO and will be in touch in the future to purchase more rockers!
Thank you again Gary!!! I hope you have a great New Year!
Sincerely, J. Boulder, Colorado

Hi Gary,
Forgive the delayed response yes, the rocker is here, and it is indeed fabulous! I would sit in it all day if I could truly a beautiful experience to sit in, just delightful. Last night my daughter sat in it all evening, wouldn't get up. Everyone loves it :-) I wish I had one in each type of wood, just for delight. I'll work on where we can fit another a little later I'll be back in touch. Thanks very much for all you do exactly what I was looking and hoping for, a rocker that is a delight to every sense, and therapeutic to sit in, with no cushions at all. You have done a wonderful thing!!

Dear Gary,
I am happily enjoying my new walnut rocker. It is not only fine and beautiful, but also extremely comfortable. My cousin had predicted disaster that I would regret changing from the recliner because of the lack of padding and the inability to lean back with ones feet up. My old recliner, named Big Blue, has gone to that Great Recliner in the Sky, and I sit like a queen in my chair where I read, knit, and watch television. I can report that my hips and legs do not hurt any more with the nerve pain that seemed to arise after about two hours. I think I can safely attribute this to the gentle curve of the rocker back as it supports the spine.
I also want to tell you how much I enjoyed the hour and a half during which we visited on the front porch of your showroom. You are a true artist and artisan, and I feel honored to enjoy one of your creations. It is an example of the integrity you build into your work, and that can only come from your own ethic of industry and honesty. I look forward to visiting you again sometime.
When I was a child, we had rocking chairs. I grew up with them, and I believe that if everyone in the world had a rocking chair, we would have less violence and trouble. They are restful to the body and soothing to the soul.
As ever, T.J.. Cookeville, Tennessee

Hi Gary,
The chair was just delivered. There was a mix up and it was put on the schedule for tomorrow. When I called at 4 and was told that, I begged and pleaded and they found a driver to take it. He even helped me undo the crate. The chair is beautiful and fits great. Many many thanks for all your personal help and hard work. You can picture me healing in the chair.
I really love it my feet touch the floor and the arms are the right place for reading or knitting.
I will sing your praises to all.
Thank you very much for everything.

Yes, the rocker arrived in perfect condition, and I love it. It's like a graceful piece of sculpture that brings the whole room alive. Just as important, it fits me perfectly. I'm having hip-replacement surgery in September, after which I have to remain non-weight bearing for eight weeks (because of the particular type of surgery). Although I'd been coveting the rocker for some time, it was the prospect of spending two months off my feet (or rather off my left foot) that finally prompted me to order it. My reasoning is that the rocking movement will promote better circulation and help ward off the danger of blood clots. In conjunction with my physical therapy program, it will also help me maintain strength on the operated side. I noticed that the arms are well-placed for getting up from the chair. The clinics in my hospital have rockers in the waiting rooms (not as nice as yours), and I'd noticed how soothing it was to rock when I was feeling nervous or stressed before my appointments. Now I can have "rocker therapy" at home, too.
Thanks! K.W. Madison, Wisconsin

Dear Gary,
The chair. It looks, feels and IS wonderful. Thank you its quite like owning our very own piece of America; and, you can quote me. The chair is beautifully realized and finished; sitting in it elevates the spirit.
Strangely enough, sitting in it makes one want to get up and DO things. Thats good.
Well done, and thanks for all your care throughout the process.
Good luck.
Yours, R.R. New York, New York

We're a little disappointed.
The next day . . .
We're a little disappointed . . . that we can't purchase a whole houseful of this furniture. We LOVE the chair. It is truly a work of art. My wife is eight months pregnant and is beginning to have lower back pain. She loves to sit in the chair because she says it makes her back feel better. We are incredibly happy with the chair. Thanks so much.
Sorry for the little joke, we figured that since you don't get many complaints this would add a little spice to the workday.
Thanks again and if I win the lottery any time soon, I'll be placing multiple orders.

The chair is a work of art. We are really enjoying the comfort and the back and forth. It is tremendous therapy for a replacement knee.
Many Thanks! B.W. Denton, Texas

Yes, I am truly enjoying your rocking chair. Its very comfortable as well as beautiful, and with my bad back, I am a happy guy.
Thanks, I.V. Ashfield, Massachusetts

Hi Gary,
To be honest, I cannot remember if I have emailed you since the chair was
delivered . . . So I'm making sure by emailing regardless.
The chair arrived without damage and is magnificent! S. loved it from the start, and has barely gotten out of it since coming back from the hospital on Tuesday with our baby boy (C.). It is remarkable how soothing the rocking motion is both for mother and baby, and she has dozed off numerous times with C. cradled comfortably in her arms.
It is a big hit, and was delivered with perfect timing!
Thanks again for all the effort. B.U. Calgary, Alberta

Hello Gary.
We are already enjoying our beautiful chair. What an example of form and function. I have never experienced such smooth wood and we are amazed at its velvety touch even on the cross-grain ends. We are so appreciative of your art and craftsmanship in every detail of this family heirloom.
As an occupational therapist (retired), this chair is not only artful, but should be in every physical rehabilitation center, and, at least in every home. The vestibular (sometimes called the "sixth" sense) input from rocking forward and backward stimulates this important neurological system, which serves to balance and regulate output of the body's neuro-muscular centers. Putting it in behavioral terms, last night, I noticed, after
rocking for several minutes a lingering feeling of well-being and relaxation. I felt that I had just arrived back from a brisk walk around the neighborhood or maybe even a massage! Just running your hands over the soft curves of this chair charges another sensory system tactile input. Visual senses are awakened just walking into the living room . . . . . this chair just lures you to sit down!
So far, R. and I have not argued once about who gets to sit in our rocking chair, but we are definitely aware that most likely it will happen one day. We are thrilled, Gary, with your chair and impressed with your professional services surrounding the shipping, delivery, and customer satisfaction. We seldom see this kind of craft and art anymore and are so pleased that we have been a part of it. Thanks to you and to your family for your
dedication and vision. It is poetry.
Sincerely, L.S. Minden, Nevada

Dear Gary:
The rocker arrived in perfect condition and it is beautiful everything I expected. My husband says it's a work of art. My son who is 20 first said, "How come you got that?" Then last evening (as he sat in it), he said, "I know I wondered why you bought this rocker, but I find myself
sitting in it every time I come into the room." He was there again this
morning! (My answer to him was that I bought it because it looked beautiful
and I think rocking is soothing and relaxing for all of us.)
Thank you so much!

Gary,
Sorry that it has taken me so long to respond but this fall has been very busy.
The rocker is my office chair where I spend 40+ hours per week seated in it. (I am a psychiatrist). By now I have logged over 600 hours in the rocker. I believe it has helped me with my struggle with knee arthritis which was aggravated by hip surgery in 2005 and the bad effects of the Eames Chair I had been using. Thank you.
Regards and Happy New Year, S.P.

I received my rocker yesterday. WOW! Besides being a beautiful piece of furniture it's a piece of art! I sat in it every chance I could. It does wonders for my aching back. It fits me perfectly and I love running my hands over the beautiful finish! I had a place picked out in my living room and it's perfect! Thank you for the wonderful craftsmanship. I can tell you folks take great pride in your work and I am honored to own this
rocker! However, now it seems I may need a bench for my feet, in mesquite. What are the chances?

Hi Gary,
Good talking with you today. When I zone out or think through a problem, I head for my Weeks Rocker. Everyone who enters my living room loves its comfort and superb workmanship. What a joy it's been! Rocking seems to
soothe the emotions and enable the mind to focus more clearly. "Quiets the monkey," I say.
I don't think any other piece of furniture has equaled it in either comfort or pride of ownership.
Enclosed you'll find a check to purchase a second rocker to go to: [ Name and address ]. Please don't call him unless it is an emergency as it is a
surprise. I will call the shipping company.
Thanks again for your great product, L.M. Petaluma, California

The rocker arrived pretty much right at the time promised, and unpacking it
was much easier than I expected it to be. We are very pleased with how
comfortable it is. My wife, who had been thinking of it as merely something
for me, immediately found relief for her back in it and was surprised by how much she liked it (she's six months pregnant). Clearly, I will have to yield to her. Oh, and we were really impressed by the stool. You made
something very simple into something really intriguing to look at, and it works very well with the chair.
Thanks again for better service than one gets anywhere, not to mention for furniture that lives up to expectation.

Gary Thanks so much. I really can't tell you how much I love the rocker. It is really helping my back with the gentle movement, and it's fun!!! God bless you and your family and I am so happy to know you. Please keep in touch.

Gary,
My back has been bothering me a bit. I have two recliners and your rocker in my den . . . I rock Reilly (she likes your chair a lot) in your rocker because it is better on my back than the recliners. Everyone who sit in your rocker say how comfortable it is. How do you make one rocker fit so many people of vastly different sizes? It is the best chair I have ever had.
Thanks,

Got the chair. Mom, dad and baby all love it. It is so substantial and beautiful and I love the feel of the wood. Looking forward to seeing how it ages. The best part: major reduction I was getting from nursing, the lower back support is key! Thanks a lot. Nice doing business with you. Have a great summer.

Gary,
There's darn little of it in this old world!!! I defy any being of human origins to set in one of your masterpieces and not feel better about themselves and those around them. Many folks never get an opportunity to own a piece of art much less recline in same. In my home I have many pieces of furniture that brings great joy to my heart for no other reason than just looking at them. I have one desk that survived the Civil War and numerous other maladies and yet it is paled in comparison to the sheer warmth and comfort of your teams touch.
I have a friend who puts the inner parts of his soul in his paintings. When I compliment his work he merely says I am just a painter . . . My reply is so was Michaelangelo! If the old master ever made furniture he would now have a peer in the Weeks Rocker . . .
Thanks for bringing back to your customers the love of quality . . . R.K. Houston, Texas
