International Shipping

We have shipped rocking chairs to Australia, Japan, China, England, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Austria, and Switzerland.

Sending a rocking chair across borders has three factors:  one, the shipping and local delivery; two, the clearing of customs;  and three, the collection of any taxes or duties.

We use DBSchenker for our international shipments.  They pick up crated chairs here, ship them by airfreight, clear customs, and deliver to your door.  Travel time is usually 5–7 business days.  We invoice and collect for shipping and delivery.  At the time of delivery, the delivering agent will collect for customs clearance and any taxes or duties.

Please call or if you would like to know the cost of shipping to an international address. As a reference, we have charged from $500–650(US) to ship a rocking chair to addresses in major cities in the European countries listed above and $600–700 to cities in Australia, China, and Japan.  This is the amount we will collect.

We can provide local phone numbers for the delivering agent in your country.  You can call them to ascertain what the total for customs clearance, taxes, and duties will be upon delivery. This is the amount that you will pay to the delivering agent.  We do not quote, estimate, or charge for these amounts.

We can accept VISA or MasterCard for payment and they will handle the currency exchange. Or we can arrange for a wire transfer with your bank and they can handle the currency exchange.

Before shipment we will send you a local phone number for the delivering agent, a tracking number, and other details.
