Custom Delivery Service (CDS)

Rocking chairs and dining furniture are delivered to Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Ft. Worth, and Houston by Custom Delivery Service.

Custom Delivery Service (CDS) is a moving company based in Fredericksburg, Texas specializing in handmade and other high value items.  They maintain regular routes along Interstate 35, linking San Antonio, Austin, Dallas and Ft. Worth, and from Austin to Houston on U.S. Highway 290.  Points along the way are also served.

Two CDS employees wrap the furniture in moving blankets here at the shop, transport it in a CDS trailer, and place it in your home or business.  They are invariably polite, careful, and on time.  You will be called several days in advance to schedule the delivery and again thirty minutes before arrival.  Prior to shipment, we mail, email, or FAX the shipping information sheet shown below.

Receiving Furniture from Custom Delivery Service

Scheduling Delivery

You will receive three calls from CDS.

1.  When we order the shipment, the CDS office will call you to verify your location and contact information, to ascertain any special conditions, and to confirm the delivery day.
2.  A day or two before delivery, the CDS office will call to schedule a two-hour window for delivery.
3.  Thirty minutes before arrival, the CDS driver will call to alert you.

Delivery

The delivery charges will have been prepaid by Gary Weeks and Company and billed on your furniture invoice.

Your furniture will be delivered by a two-man crew.  They will set the furniture where you want it.  Because of the care provided by Custom Delivery Service, shipping damage is very unlikely.  However, please carefully inspect your furniture before signing the delivery receipt.  If you do find any damage, the CDS crew will bring the piece back for repair or replacement.
