The Paschall Leg and Apron Table (Scroll down to prices) A Paschall fixed top table, 48" x 48", shown in walnut
[ Click here for a larger image of the "leg-at-corner" table shown above, providing more detail of the wood, the fit, and the finish. ] We have made a video showing a Paschall Table. It is 2 minutes, 48 seconds in length. Click to see Video. The leg of the Paschall Table is turned round below its intersection with the apron. We carve away wood on the upper outside corners of the leg so that the profile curves out to the largest diameter of turning. I like this line. There is a classic, yet jaunty aspect to it.
The top is solid wood, a full inch thick. The edge of the top is shaped to a "thumbnail" profile. The ends of the top are usually curved to animate the outline, but can be left square if desired. We can build the Paschall table to suit the space and the seating. You can specify the size of the table and whether the top is "fixed" or opens to accept leaves. If you are interested in an extension table with leaves, please refer to this page, Extension Dining Tables where you can see plan view drawings of three common extension table sizes showing the seating options as the leaves are inserted.

*our cherry and maple are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC certified) (the Ordering and Shipping Process) (Full Terms of the Guarantee) (Shipping, Prices and Methods) Please note: We do not build dining tables without a set of chairs. In order to compose pleasing compositions of figure in our table tops, we need to have a quantity of wood to choose from — and something to do with the wood we do not choose. Chairs. This is not to say the chairs get inferior wood — they just don't need long, clear, boards of even configuration. Because we cut the boards for chairs into relatively small pieces, we can create pleasing compositions of figure in them as well. |
