Payment

You may pay for furniture by VISA, MasterCard, wire transfer, or check.  We do not have a secure way to receive payment online, but we are happy to take your call.  This is not an Internet "shopping cart" business.

No credit card number is ever entered into a computer or database.  No credit card number ever appears complete with any name or address; half the number is always hidden and coded. Credit card numbers are destroyed after shipment and final payment.


Lead-times

We work to keep rocking chairs in stock or in progress.  (Often I can hear babies crying in the background when people call.)  Time between the order and the delivery of rockers, other than mesquite, is usually less than six weeks, sometimes they are ready to ship.  Dining Furniture is usually shipped in 6-8 weeks.  Lead-times get longer as Christmas approaches.  If you are expecting a child or purchasing a rocker or other furniture for a special event, we will try to get it to you when you need it.  We will work late and try to rearrange the schedule.

When you place an order, we give you a target shipping date.  We did not miss a target date in 2004 or 2005.  In January 2006, a load of mahogany arrived that was not acceptable, causing 4 chairs to be 4 weeks late.

Deposits

If the furniture you order is in progress and can be shipped in four weeks or less, we ask for full payment at the time of order.  If your furniture must be scheduled for construction and shipped more than four weeks from order, we ask for a deposit of 50% of the furniture total. About a week before shipment, we will contact you to ask for the balance.


Paperwork

At the time of order, we will mail or FAX an invoice and a receipt recording your payment.  If you were charged a deposit, we will also send a statement and receipt at the time of the final payment.  You will receive information on shipping.  This information will explain the process, name the carrier, and give you a phone number and tracking number so that you can contact the carrier.


Privacy Statement

No information that you grant to us will ever be given to anyone else.  We will mail you catalog revisions as they are printed (every other year) and, perhaps, notification of new items, awards, publicity, etc., unless you request that we not.
