Linking Information

To provide useful information to our visitors and to weave ourselves more tightly into the world wide web, we are building and maintaining directories of related websites.  These lists of links are grouped in the various categories of our field of endeavor.  For example, we have a Directory of Handmade Rocking Chair Makers within the rocking chair section of our site.  The various directories, built or conceived and planned, are listed in the side bar to the left.

If you have a site that would be a candidate for any of our directories, please .  We want to include sites that are accurate, informative, interesting, creative, well-organized, and well-functioning, and that inspire trust in the people and organizations they represent.  This list of qualities sets a high and arbitrary standard.  We will consider any site with content that assists or interests our visitors.  We will review sites and send notice of inclusion, or not, within two weeks.

We provide these links to resources as a service to our visitors and clientele.  A reciprocal link is not required.  However a link back to our site would be appreciated.  (Click here for information regarding links and search engine ranking.)  If you provide a link to our site from yours, we will include a photo and a description of your work on our site.  Photos will be sized at 100x115.  Please limit your description to 50 words or less.  Listings from reciprocal link partners will be placed at the top of our directories.

If you have placed a reciprocal link to us on your site and wish to have a photo and text listing in our directory, please:

1.)  Send us the URL of the reciprocal link.
2.)  Include a photo image of your work.  (Please, in .jpg format, and no larger than 100k in size.  The image will be resized to no larger than 100x115 px.)
3.)  Also include a short paragraph of text describing your work.  (Please, keep to 50 words or less.)
4.)  Indicate which directory you wish to be placed in.
5.)  If you wish a change made to the title of the link, please indicate the new title.
6.)  Indicate any other changes or requests to your listing  (name of artisan, etc.)
7.)  All links are made to the home page of the site unless otherwise requested.

We also have two graphical links which you may use on your site if you prefer.  To download either graphic to your hard drive, just right-click on the graphic you desire and choose "save picture as" from the context menu.  A save picture dialog box will appear.  Navigate to the folder you want to save the graphic in, and click on "save".  Please upload the graphic to your own server and DO NOT link directly to our image.

To save the HTML code to use with the graphic, simply copy and paste the code below the graphic you downloaded into your HTML document.  (You might need to edit the code to point to where you placed the graphic.)
