Custom Dining TablesWe can build tables to your specifications. Most of the custom tables we build are built to accompany a set of our chairs, but this is not always a requisite. If you send a description, photo, or sketch, we will return a scale drawing, price, and shipping date — or reasons why we cannot build what you need. We can assist in the size, shape, and design of a table. Some of the guidelines and criteria we use are listed on this page: Space Planning. These are sketches that were exchanged with a patron in developing the custom table that has become a catalogued item, the Johnson Pedestal Table. However, we do not build dining tables without a set of chairs. In order to compose pleasing compositions of figure in our table tops, we need to have a quantity of wood to choose from — and something to do with the wood we do not choose. Chairs. This is not to say the chairs get inferior wood — they just don't need long, clear, boards of even configuration. Because we cut the boards for chairs into relatively small pieces, we can create pleasing compositions of figure in them as well.
